    Hi,

im building a new htpc that runs linux mint (ubuntu) with kodi and have WS2812 leds and ESP8266 wifi arduino board (link)

will this work? can hyperion just be installed on the linux htpc that is connected to ardruno ESP board which the leds are connected to?

what about a grabber is it needed? and do i need kodi addon? a bit confused how to set this up/configured/installed without a Pi.

    ty.

    Yep!

I’ve had it running on linux/x86 sending ng to an esp.

I think the kodi addon becomes the grabber on x86 but I’ve never used it
