hyperion - v412 - v. Only way it works NTSC

Well first of all this is a great hobby /project. It's taken me some time to get it running since I'm new to the raspberry pi and not too good with coding. Anyway I finally got everything working from what I can see. The only problem is that my led's won't start unless I log on and type.. hyperion - v412 - v NTSC. Once I type that then lights react to my grabber. I've been doing a lot of reading over the past weekend and at this point I'm not sure sure what else to try. I am using raspberry pi 3 with OSMC. external video grabber.
