I've been using a Lightpack system with Boblight and Openelec for several years, but the most recent version of Openelec (6.03) has been giving me a lot of trouble.
Hyperion was recommended to me as an alternative to Boblight, but I'm a total novice when it comes to Linux, and I've fallen at the first hurdle: I can't get Hyperion to install.
Could somebody please guide me through the process, bearing in mind that I can follow instructions but won't necessarily understand what they mean, and won't be able to give any technical answers (such as providing log files) without some assistance?
I'm using the stable build of Openelec, with a first Generation Lightpack system (Factory built, from the Kickstarter campaign). My Lightpack is connected via USB.
Openelec is a cut down version of Linux and won't run a lot of the regular Linux commands.
I'm running the 64-Bit version of Openelec on a Zotac AD02 HTPC.
