Arduino mini and arch linux desktop

I am running arch linux with xfce DE. I installed hyperion from the AUR and used hyperocn to configure my hyperion java file. When I start hyperion I see the leds do the initial test but after that the leds stay solid. Is there something else I need to do to get this working correctly? I have looked for the last 2 days for an answer but havent found anything yet. Any help would be great. Thank you.
