Updated Windows Screen Grabber Available - Supports Multiple Displays & Servers, 4K UHD, DirectX 11

  • The software is very nice, you are smarter than me if you can get it to work.

    My hardware setup:
    1. I have a pi4 with raspOS and apa102 leds connected directly to the pi to it with SPI pins (MOSI 19 and SCLK 23).
    2. I have a windows 10 64bit PC running the Grabber software with 1080p resolution.

    The problem:
Hyperion shows the startup rainbow and changes over to the idle effect, so the the leds and hyperion are working. Grabber says that it is connected Proto on port 19445 but hyperion just keeps showing the idle effect. I tried setting Grabber to DX9 and DX11, no change, hyperion doesnt show the Grabber output. I tried turning on and off Platform Capture in Hyperion, but that didn't change anything.

    Any ideas?

  • The priority of WHAT?
On the Hyperion webif I can set the priority of:
    Instance capture :
    - Platform capture (type Automatic) priority channel 250
    - USB capture (off) priority channel 240

  • Hi guuys, I'm having a problem. I'm not sure if the problem is in the Windows Grabber or the Hyperion itself.

The screen being captured is not my whole screen, but just a fraction of it.

Let me show the image, this is what I see on my TV:

This is what hyperion is capturing, as you can see, only about 2/3 of the screen.

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem? Am I missing some configuration?

Stirling I would suggest you open an own thread and not intermingle your issue with another…

    Please provide more detail…

Are you using Hyperion‘s screengrbber or an external one?

What is the Screengrabber‘s configuration? Are you using any cropping?

  • Sorry, I replied this thread because I'm using the Windows Screen Grabber. Should I open another or can I use this one?

My Windows Grabber configuration is the following:

About the Hyperion configurations, I don't know which one could be related to this problem. I didn't find cropping nor resolution control for the data sent from the Windows Grabber.
