    zeile 20 muss die anzahl deiner leds rein
    #define MAX_LEDS 500

    #define LED_PINS 6 // 3 wire leds....

    hier fängt der spass an... ich weiss NICHT welcher pin genutzt wird...müsstest du selbst rausfinden...

    aber im ersten post hast du geschrieben das du einen arduino uno hast, probier es doch erstmal damit... da siehst du die pins

  • im confused here, you purchased a different alternative setup to Hyperion that has its own controller and installer to configure it so technically its a whole different setup and is not meant to be used with anything apart from its original purpose, It was specifically never meant to be used with Hyperion. Maybe it will work but until you 100% know the pin it requires and if your LEDS actually work, anything else is a waste of time

    Why you are still messing with it is beyond me and IMO you only really have 2 very simple options to get a working setup

    1 - Wire the data line of the WS2812B directly to the GPIO - Test the lights
    2 - Order another MCU to replace the sealed unit you are having problems with

    Option 1 really should be done just as a sanity check to ensure the LEDS are actually operating, for all you know your sketches for the sealed unit may have been working and you have a fault in your LEDS's, If it works at least you are up and running until you order any other parts.

  • Ok, the sealed Box, I managed to open, turned out to be a Arduino Nano, all Digital, no physical Pins, The LEDs Data goes via 1 cable with plug in to the Nano, the others cable with power outlet for power-supply. The sellers of those setups basically all recommend, in my case on request, using hyperion, especially in connection with rpi's. Same did the producer of the tutorial, who had the exact setup working fine (aside using rpi4). Not made that up, entirely. I had the LEDs all light up more then once all together a couple of weeks ago, then vendor turned disabled and it stopped. So, I draw my conclusions, at this moment. Still I ordered some plugs and jumper cables, in order to breach a cable connection to my Arduino Uno (that has real pins), without ripping all the plugs apart. though not sure about the GND connection yet, (all cables are wrapped in black tape) also thinking about buying another Led strip. But still hope to find a coding solution, before spending more...

  • Hobby's like this will cost money, its not a standard feature Ambilight to have this...

    But anyway i followed this thread and have to say this; why being difficult with a Arduino Nano or whatever and get it to work while you can buy a brand new one for a few extra bucks with pins on it and a the newest firmware?
    The set that you as you are using now is a standard set ( like davieboy explained and asked you) that is build to run on a software diffrent then hyperion.NG.

    So, before you throw the ledstrip, > but a new Arduino/MCU > connect the LEDs to the PINs and use the Adalight controller in Hyperion.NG, maybe you also need a level shifter to get it to work but i doubt it because the set you have now wasn't equiped with that feature.

    goodluck.

  • Thanks, I am well aware, this being a exceptional setup, and also apologize(d) for that. I literally said in my previous post, I'll try the pins next, I had one second Arduino ( Uno) bought before I started this thread, I already ordered jumper cables, and plugs to attache those to the LEDs, cause did not wanted to rip off the original whirring of the Strip. Also I didn't try this initially, because didn't understand the difference between the Arduinos, and the plug verses GIPO pin connection. I also have a digital, grabber, that seems to work fine, as far as i can tell from the video-signal control panel, in the WebUI. Still hope for coding solution anyhow, might be challenging, but possibly, helpful, for future users, developments, to solve basic flaws of my setup.

    But for now will have to wait for the required parts, so I can run more tests, and will be back ;)

  • Ok, ja, also nochmal mit Grabber USB Stecker raus:
