Hyperbian/alpha9 + Ws2812b + Pi4b

Can't get the following setup to work.

Raspberry pi 4b 2Gb
WS2812b on GPIO18
hyperbian-alpha9

get the following error message

[hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (DEBUG) (LedDevice.cpp:428:setRewriteTime()) Refresh interval = 1000ms
[hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (DEBUG) (LedDevice.cpp:434:setRewriteTime()) RewriteTime updated to 1000ms
[hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (DEBUG) (LedDeviceWS281x.cpp:59:init()) ws281x strip type : 1050624
[hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (ERROR) Device disabled, device 'ws281x' signals error: 'Failed to open. Error message: Hardware revision is not supported'

tried to:
change dma to 10
disable audio
set clock speed

The strange thing is, when I use the standard image with a old 2015 Pi3b everything works out of the box.

im sure I saw a post form @Lord-Grey statting that there was an issue with the 2gb board and it will be resolved in the next Hyperion Release. Hence why its working ont he the 3b

Support for Pi 4 Model B - 2GB v1.4 will come with the next release, see

Hmmm. I just did a build and I still have the same error showing the logs. Has anyone else done a build and have this problem resolved?

I have an RPi4B 2GB and it seems to be working fine, but it's an earlier revision.

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ grep MemTotal /proc/meminfo

MemTotal: 1911324 kB

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/model

Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.2

Yes.You can install the nightly version of Hyperion. With this the rev. 1.5 of your Pi should work.

P.S. Don't forget to uninstall before.

Nightly Builds - Adjustments, bug fixes, new features that are not yet included in the stable version.
