So currently I'm able to run the 6812 strip but for some reason i cannot increase LED quantity more than 250. as soon as i set quantity to 300 LED the WEB UI stops responding.. I have to unplug/plug the Rpi 4 then LED starts with rainbow swirl of 250 quantity.

SPI is also lifting on same services than your ethernet/WIFI connection, so i think you reached the limit of packets that can be send over SPI

add spidev.bufsize=1024000 in /boot/cmdline.txt

there's no faults in your configuration how i can see it so the SPIsk6812 controller is running

I saw from the link you put how to check buffersize, I tried to cat it still gives 4096, does that mean the line pasted in cmdline.txt is not correct position?

if it's still 4096 then it doesn't see the new line, Mike72 says it have to be at the end of the line,

spidev.bufsiz=1024000

or you have to put in a script,

and before i forget >> did you power the ledstrip from both sides? so beginning and end

+5 volts joined together and GND joined together

I see notepad there, I think the file is no longer in Unix format line end LF.

Use geany or notepad ++ and set the end of line to LF when saving.

Yes, with a spacer after the last existing character, otherwise the Pi will not boot.

Was the 250 LED limit ever solved? I am having this same issue. Tried the above spidev.bufsiz=1024000

Thanks gray. I ended up getting it sorted out. It wasn't working for the longest time. I re-imaged my RPI exact same settings as I had before (from following this thread) and then it started working.

It's really a difficult ledstrip to get it working, in this way all tips and tricks are bundled in one topic. I read a lot of problems everywhere with only this strip..

Appreciate your knowledge regarding sk6812spi.

I have setup all HW and SW, but not getting correct LED output as a result. All LED reacts though, but not in order as it suppose to. I am not able to setup RGB order, none of the option works for my setup. Any idea why it is happening?

I tried that, but not working for me. However, I discovered that my input of video is reading not correct. When I opened my live video wizard, which is reading wrong and I get the out put same as that wizard. So I think my problem is at the input level, where initial input is not right.

I am using 4k 60Hz capture card. Source is my ps5. And I am using USB 2.0 to microUSB to my pi.

are you using hdr/dolby vision for any chance thats coming out of ps5?

that will corrupt colourpalette because Hyperion.NG cant cope with direct hdr signals

Hi pclin I tried that too. Yes, I am using 4k capture card.

Ambient_theater77 I checked for HDR, it is not for HDR.

Here is the picture, may be you can get idea. You can see the colours. (Specially looking at Apple Music logo and YouTube logo.)

i was thinking, maybe you can start the rgb wizard and deliberately change it to see what the output to the leds is changing.

just to test if the reds and greens alternate or even you achieve the right colours

Hi AmbientEric I did achieve the right reds and greens LED. Could it be the bad grabber?(I am using micro USB to USB 2.0 cable in 3.0 port of grabber from pi.) or could be something on HW side. I do not see any issue with HW side. LEDs are both powered and grounded from both end.

try to set the grabber settings in Hyperion.NG to default, then reboot

the colours is now okay?
