Instances (WLED) not working properly

  • Hi,

i am running 4 WLED instances on my FritzBox 6591 Router - all instances are running on a Wemos D1 Mini - properly configured (i assigned fixed ip addresses in my router).

i am using the Windows Version of Hyperion.NG.

    the problem(s) which are occuring:

when powering up anything - not all instances will work immidiately (sometimes one or two remain orange) - i need to unplug/replug several times until all instances work properly. even then, several instances might not be reachable via WLED app and are shown as offline although they are working. when i'm lucky, it works without problems but occasionally one of the instances stops receiving after a few minutes and turn orange. or even worse: eg. 3 instances are working properly but the 4th seems locked/freezed and is reacting very slow with up to 1-2 seconds latency (although the other instances are working fast).

sometimes it even happens that my video stream starts freezing (i'm using amazon firestick).

i've tried several things and couldn't find out what's causing all this. the strange thing is it always affects a different instance - not always the same one. sometimes only 2 instances work and the others are disabled, makes no sense.

i already thought, that something is messing up wlan traffic as video also freezes from time to time - or maybe the instances are trying to communicate with each other which is causing freezing? or maybe it's the D1 itself? (alle instances are wemos d1 v3) ..

my instances in detail: TV: 70 leds, floor: 288 leds, 2 led lamps: 204 leds each.

shouldn't be too much leds :)

asap i have time, i will start "debugging" from scratch, adding one instance after each other and see what happens.

any ideas what could be wrong?

    thanks

Always ready for betatesting + sharing ideas about WLED / Hyperion / Maker stuff :)
