Okay. Om testing with the Hyperion App now and THE leds are dead. No response.
I have write in THE IPadress of THE pi and port 19444. Or do i need My port thats :8090?
Do i need to config Hyperion to run as Root?
Only 5 is Up. No response from app

That's right.
Do i need to config Hyperion to run as Root?
For PWM, probably that's required.
And I forgot... disable in config.txt on-board audio. It run also over PWM.

How do i config that?

I have a similar issue, it's my first time trying the ambilight for my tv, so far i just have leds and the raspberry connected but only the first few led turn on and the fifth one is green and the reste is not on. I'm using a raspberry 3b, w2812b led 1m/60led strip with a 5V 30A PSU for the led, and a seperate charger for the raspberry. I used the additional voltage red and white wires to plug to the PSU, I check it was 5 V coming out. I see lots of tutorial showing the raspberry and the led supplied through the same PSU and connecting the pi and led ground to the third pin. I'm at loss is that necessary even if i have two seperate psu ? Is the code "dtparam=audio=off" needs to be active ie without the # ?
Thanks in advance for your feedback -
I have separate power supply to. And same setup like you but longer light strip.
I have try DTparam audio off but nothing special happends.
THE light not respond in Hyperion App so im loss to
Idont know what to do!! ? Im so tired of this. Nothing works

Yeah it's crazy, it seems so easy in tutorial, but i can't even turn on my fricking led, i'm a jackass T_T. let's hope someone has a solution. I can only find tutorial with people doing the low amps methods with a charger... maybe our PSU is not working properly, but it gives me 5V though. Led strip is brand new though, they seems very fragile...we'll get through this xD
-
Same here i have follow the tutorials but not working ? only few leds Shining. App dont work. The PSU is 5v. Ledstrip is okay.
Gpio 18 + same gnd for RPi and PSU.

Thanks in advance for your feedbackyes the grounding is necessary especially when you have two diffrent PSU because of potential differences!!!!! , without it chance is it won't run ever....
goodluck
# before the line means the script is skipping that rule/ not seeing it.
so without the # means that rule becomes active

So why it is only a few leds lighting and not respond to THE app?
-
Is this right?

Is this right?
remove the audio=on line completely and put the audio=off line there then save
So why it is only a few leds lighting and not respond to THE app?
i really don't know so we have to find out won't we ? you did a lot already and i hope also grounding the GND's all together

I can send you some pics

This Green to gpio 18?
-
and there is the ground to pin 3 om RPi? ( Ground pin )
-
First blue then White and green only

This Green to gpio 18?
middle wire is data ( connection on ledstrip says, look at the connection joints)
GND / V- / - all the same
VCC is +5volts
and there is the ground to pin 3 om RPi? ( Ground pin )
there is more than one GND PIN on the PI.
PIN6 <<< NOT pin 3 >>> is one of GND's use at least two of them.
-
Yes i mean pin 6 ? data om gpio 18 and GND on pin 6 i have now. So i need two GND?
