Power off function (TV from Apple TV) passthrough

Hi,

I am not sure if anyone can help me out but i will try any way.

I installed the following hardware:

- Raspberry PI3

- Usb Video Capture Card (link)

- WS2812B Led strip 5 meters 30 led per meter

- Power supply 5v 10a

- 8k compatible HDMI cables (brand new)

connected to a Apple TV and a Samsung Qled TV

Everything works fine. Everything lights up but a particular little quirk appears now.

I used to be able to turn off the TV using the apple TV by putting it to sleep. If i use the new HDMI cables and connect directly this still works. Yet when i put the USB capture card in it stops doing that. It seems the function is blocked somehow.

Does anyone know with which capture card i can replace the unit above to get it back or should i just quit being lazy and turn the tv off separately?

Or is there some alternate setup? (excluded getting some fancy remote as my wife hates those!)

thanks will try. if it does not work do you know of one that has the CEC on it?
