USB/Serial to GPIO

  • Hi!

Last year I've setup hyperion on a pi zero with the following setup:

    • Generic USB video capture with loop as input
    • Pi0 running hyperion
    • WLED on an ESP8266 receiving data via serial from the pi0 GPIO (/ttyS0) with the TPM2 protocol

However, I'm trying to replicate the same setup but with an orangepi (Lite-AllwinnerH3) , but i'm only getting the option to connect via usb (usb-serial converter) /ttyUSB0 and I can't find a way to send data to the already configured /ttyS3 serial port

Is there a way to force a certain device to be used? Or maybe use the "file" output replicating the TMP2 behaviour on /ttyS3

Assume you are running the latest Hyperion NG.

I would suggest you import your curren configuration, but then selective device from the detected list of devices. That takes care that the device path links to what is available by the OS.

If you would like to have a fixed device path, configure a udev device.

    Config in Hyperion as above.
