Screen goes black when I turn on the lights

Hi all.

I have had the Hyperion system setup for a year and had no issues. This last week for some reason, when I turn on the lights, the screen goes blank anywhere between 1 and 60 minutes and then I have to reboot the tv, sky box and Raspberry PI.

One thing I have noticed that is different is the Capture card selection. It used to say the name of the capture card but it is now set to automatic. When I try to change it, I have 2 options which are bcm2835-isp-capture0 and bcm2835-isp-capture1. This did not used to be the case so I am thinking this could have something to do with it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by that. What is an external grabber? I basically have a raspberry PI connected to the capture card and led strips which then make my hyperion work.

So I reckon the USB grabber is my capture card as that is powered by the Pi via a USB cable.

I managed to get the capture card to show up and everything worked for about 20 minutes and then boom, the screen went black again.
