Hyperbian 2.0.14 can't find capture card (No capture device discovered)

  • Whenever I attach my capture card to a fresh Hyperion installation, the screen rainbows and the Pi zero reboots...

after reboot, when I enable USB Capture, it says No capture device discovered.

    Please help?
Is my capture card faulty? Do I need extra configuration?

I have a Rullz 4K 60Hz card with loop, device gets powered and has a red indicator light burning.

not sure where I can find crash logs but the webUI logs don't tell me anything . they are at DEBUG level.

    welp.
I fixed the reboot issues by replacing the capture card to RP0 micro usb cable.

However the 'No capture device discovered' issue remains...

capture card notification light is on, attached to RP0

Hat den Titel des Themas von „Hyperbian 2.0.14 crashes after attaching Capture card“ zu „Hyperbian 2.0.14 can't find capture card (No capture device discovered)“ geändert.
  • Have you tested the grabber on another device, e.g. a PC?

There is no grabber listed in the system (OS), so you cannot select it in Hyperion.

did you connect the power to the micro USB port ? ( sufficient?)

Setup 1: RP0 Micro USB to Capture Device USB A => Cable 1: crash + reboot, Cable 2: Device emits red notification light indicating it is active

Setup 2: RP0 Micro USB to Capture Device USB A + PC USB A to Capture Device Micro USB

Both setups do not detect the card

Yes, although quite different setup here since my pc does not have a Micro USB IN port

Setup: PC USB A to Capture Device Micro USB + PC USB A to Capture Device USB A => gets detected by windows as a connected camera

If I do the same setup on my RP0 though it still does not detect anything

so: PC USBA to Capture Device Micro USB + Capture Device USB A to RP0 USB A (in micro usb to usb a converter)

additionally I also tested attaching the CD to the power to its micro USB port + CD USB A to RP0 Micro USB to no avail

I seem to have resolved the issue.
After going through 5 Micro USB cables, I found one that works.
    4 others triggered a reboot.

final setup: CD USB A to RP0 Micro USB port

    Thanks all for thinking along!
