Install/Update Hyperion.ng on LibreELEC

  • What is the spi parameter doing exactly? As soon as I reboot my Raspberry Pi4, I get no image anymore.

INFO : SPI is currently not active, enabling "dtparam=spi=on" in /flash/config.txt

INFO : Please reboot system to activate SPI configuration.

When I uninstall Hyperion with the same script, everything's back ok...

I still have this isse. When installing, everything looks fine, untill the next reboot...

  • Adding dtparam=spi=on in /flash/config.txt enables pi's SPI interface which is nessesary to control SPI based led types.

  • is there no way to install a different version from hyperion on libreelec

had sd-card errors and had to setup my rpi4 with libreelec and hyperion ng from scratch. now nothing is working. hyperion newest version with libreelec 12.

i cant start hyperion from webserver. if i click on start nothing happens, but i cant shut it down too. if i restart it, i can see the rainbow circling, but nothing happens after that.

    whats wrong with newest release?

want to install 2.0.16. but how???

  • lol. just found out that set saturation and brightness from 0 to 100 solves the problem. omg. cant believe it, its working now.

but still have a problem. i dont have hyperion as a service "systemctl restart hyperion.service" outputs not found.

how can it be set up as a service?

  • nothing found or something. i could finally find a solution from this script

  • Is there no longer a way to install Hyperion-NG on a current version of LibreELEC?

    I have an Intel NUC
    LibreELEC (official): 12.2.1 (Generic.x86_64)

When I run the easy install script, I get:

    LibreELEC:/ # curl -sSL https://releases.hyperion-project.org/install | bash
    INFO : Identified distribution “libreelec”
INFO : Start GitHub release installation.
INFO : Latest GitHub release identified: 2.2.0

HansDampf Could you run the script in verbose mode and share the output, please?

     curl -sSL https://releases.hyperion-project.org/install | bash -s -- --verbose

  • Lord-Grey

    I've had the same problem:

    Code
    LibreELEC:~ # curl -sSL https://releases.hyperion-project.org/install | bash -s
     -- --verbose
    INFO : Identified distribution "libreelec"
    DEBUG: Current architecture: x86_64
INFO : Start GitHub release installation.
    DEBUG: Determine latest release...
INFO : Latest GibHub release identified: 2.2.0
