a few weeks ago my ambilight stopped working and first of all i thought it was ne 5V 10A Power supply for the LEDs.
Today i finally found time to check everything.
I run this system:
Raspberry Pi 2
Hyperbian (newest version / today installed again)
digital Grabber
Feintech HDMI Splitter
WS2801 / 132 LEDs
So i checked part for part:
Connection / Power supply works great
Raspberry is connected via USB to an own power supply
Second:
Full new installation of Hyberbian on SD. This works, i need to log in with my "own" account. First the hyperion is stopped and i need to restart it via "hyperiond", some help on this?
But after it is works, the grabber works as well. I can configure everything but the LEDs wont work correctly.
The power supply for the LED Strip can be switched seperately on/off. This worked at all. But in the last weeks i did not get any reaction. Today i checked and tried and the LEDs will only light up white when power supply i turned on, but not all of them. Some are off and some are red.
When power supply for the leds is off and the hyperion is running it looks like they get supply? and some of them light up slightly red (only red).
I think the LED strip or one of the controller might be dead - this would mean i need a new strip right? Or any other suggestions what i could check?
And if i need a new Strip - is there a way with better colors like at the moment? Especially the clear white color is a bit missing. it always looks a bit blueish when white appears.
