Could someone check my hardware list

    Hi everyone,


    with all the black friday sales I wanted to build my fist hyperion project. However I wanted to check with you guys for any missing parts or better alternatives.


    My main focus is 4k, HDR and internal app capture while trying to keep the price relatively low:



    Is this setup compatible with DRM locked content like Netflix? Since my parents are low tech and mainly use the internal apps I would like to avoid external sources like fireTV sticks.

    in short, you can't use HDR signal into hyperion.ng builds>> you need hyperHDR for that to work. Fork of Awawa

    HDR video data is preserved, With this splitter you can only downscale the resolution but you can't strip out the HDR signal.

    my advice is to turn of the HDR signal in your source if you are using Hyperion.ng


    and to advice you: don't use the SK6812 ledstrip if you're not (much) formiliar with electronics.

    it can be a nightmare to get it running nice.


    just go for a APA102 running ledstrip, WAAAAYYYY easyer.

    i am running with HD107S ledstrip which runs on regular APA102 ledcontroller build in Hyperion.ng and its not less in any means.
