Rebuilt Hyperion and now only 1 LED is working. I selected WS281X
Any reason why it's only 1 LED?

Hi,
what exactly do you mean with "rebuilt Hyperion"?
Did you rebuild the software or your hardware setup?
Was it working before?
Is the single led fully working and controllable with hyperion?
Best regards

Reformatted the SD card. I think new update may have broken it. Just a white light
you need root rights for Hyperion.NG to use the PWM controller.
PWM is also used by sounddriver so deactivate the audio in config.txt
dtparam=audio=off
(or remove the # in code line )
If you really just did a fresh install and changed nothing on your hardware setup
then i guess you somehow misconfigured Hyperion this time.
Like Ambient_theater77 said check if dtparam=audio=off is set in the config.txt and be sure
that you selected the correct DMA channel, PWM channel and GPIO
Does the log shows any errors?
Tried the recommended solution but no luck

Faulty LEDs?
LED are all working. Had a ESP8266 WLED board to test it with. Nothing on the logs.
Strange...
It's unlikely, but it doesn't hurt to test: try a different GPIO.
tried it on GPIO 17 and no luck . Its like the GPIO doesn't want to send out a signal and Hyperion is root.
GPIO 17 is not a PWM pin. Try GPIO 19
What happens if you disconnect the data line? Does the white light goes off?
Tried it, but did not work. Anyway to downgrade the Hyperion version to see if it fixes it?
I don't think that the update is causing your problem but nevertheless you can download earlier versions on the github page:
https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.ng/releases/tag/XXX
Just replace XXX with with your desired version (for example 2.0.15)
Would you please show me all your Hyperion settings? Maybe i find where the problem is.
If the LEDs on an ESP with WLED are working and can be controlled by Hyperion without any problems, and no error messages appear in the Hyperion log, it's either the RPI or the wrong GPIOs.
Downgrading/upgrading Hyperion won't make a difference.
