Better colors and brightness, no more blue cast in white.

How much better?
I know it's hard to answer...
Can you see the difference immadelty or is it more subtle?
Are 30 leds/m sk6812 equivalent to 60leds/m ws2812 in terms of brightness?
You can see the difference immediately.
For brightness 30 / 60 LEDs, 60 WS2812 will probably be slightly brighter than 30 SK6812.
I'll have to see if I can find photos, but it's been years.
SK6812 or HD107S is much better, if you have them in use, you don't want any others.

I can handle a little less brightness, most of time my ws2812 run at only 90% anyway.
That was an important information, it would half the costs of an upgrade. Nice!
You are using the nw variant, right? From what I've read so far, ww has been mostly recommended.
Does this make any difference at all due to Hyperion's various white algorithms and temperature settings?
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I don't have any experience with Hyperion on RPI and SK6812 RPI GPIO.
I use ESP and WLED.
However, several users here on board have already made the switch and reported enthusiastically.
Recommendations are NW or CW.
The recommendation for WW is new to me.
I would only use WW if the LEDs are also frequently used for lighting. This has also been discussed here.
CW is often used by HDR enthusiasts.
My feeling is that NW goes best with the white of the TV.

OK desission made. I'm going to upgrade
