Hyperion setup for 4K SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision

  • I have Ezcoo EZ-SP12H2 and Ezcap Gamelink RAW. Looks like I need a device between those two, which can downscale and convert for Ezcap to capture in right format to Hyperion.

Is FeinTech VSP01202 suitable for that job? Do I need something more expensive?

I already found out that this device does not downscale HDR. So better option would be FeinTech VSP01222. That seems to do all what I want. Probably Ezcoo is not needed at all.

    Ezcoo EZ-SP12H2 It's OK for 4K 60Hz.

HDR will produce washed-out colors, which must be compensated for. I only know of two splitters that can map HDR to SDR.

Dolby Vision won't work with Ambilight. To get a picture on the TV, the scaler must be disabled.

With DolbyVision, only LLDV works, but the Source devices must support that.

Ezcap Gamelink RAW isn't suitable for this setup, a cheap grabber with a Macrosilicon chip is perfectly sufficient, such as the MS2109 or MS2130 grabber starting at €5.
