One Random Green LED

  • Hi all,

I have a hyperion setup that's been working pretty great, with one small issue. I think it's a fairly new issue, I have a Pi4 with a led strip on it. It's about 260 active leds, the strip itself has probably 300 led's total but the last 40 are disabled. For some reason, led 261 is lit up green, and I can't get it to go out. No matter what it's lit. Even if I turn off all the leds, it's still lit up.

LEDs are set up in WS281X mode

    GPIO 18

    DMA 10

    PWM 0

Anything you can think of to sort this out?

  • Hi,

what happens if you setthe input postion to 40?

    Best regards

    The LED may be defective.

  • pclin I thought green means OK and red defective 8o

But you are totally right. I overlooked the fact that all LEDs after the green one aren't working, so it's most likely defective.
