Black Screen with Hyperion+Windows+Grabber

  • Hi everyone. Until yesterday, I was using Hyperion on a Raspberry Pi with a Firestick (Firestick connected to an HDMI splitter, a cable to the TV, and a cable to the HDMI-to-USB converter connected to the Pi).

Today, I removed the Pi and used a mini PC with Windows 11. Only now, I'm seeing a black screen.

Note that the hardware configuration hasn't changed.

I used the latest version of Hyperion and even version 2.0.16, but nothing.

I tried changing the encoding format, but nothing. Any suggestions?

  • Hyperion Debug log ?

You could try an alternative grabber.

I also have problems with Arduino nano where the sketch with the LEDs is installed

  • From what I understand, the problem is Windows:

I tried connecting the HDMI to USB port on another computer, and it didn't work.

I connected the Firestick directly. I thought it was an adapter or splitter issue, but it still didn't work.

I tried disabling the Windows antivirus and firewall, but it still didn't work. I don't know what the problem is.

  • Sorry, my mistake. I thought you meant the Windows internal grabber.

Windows doesn't have any problems with USB grabbers!

You should focus on one problem.

First, the LEDs need to work with colors and effects. Arduino isn't a good choice for your LED.

Please attach a complete debug log as Hyperion-log.txt

    EDIT:

And please write which splitter and HDMI to USB port.
