Analog Leds with Hyperion?

  • Im just getting started with my ambiligth project. I have purchased a wled-controller, a capturecard and a powersupply. I already have a Pi 4, which I have started to install hyperion on.

I have a 10m long LED-strip running along the roof, which I would like to sync up to the content on my TV. However, this is a 12V Analog RGB strip. I know Wled can controll it, but I'm unsure if Hyperion supports it, since it isn't addressable.

If I can make it so that it takes the most common color on the screen or the average color of the screen, it would be nice. Is this possible, or do I need to get an adressable LED-strip?

For Hyperion this is 1 LED.

Controller type: wled might work if Hardware LED count shows 1 LED.

If not you could try using Controller type: udpraw with 1 LED, that might work.

Then, under Image Processing, set LED area assignment to Mean Color Image - applied to all LEDs.
