Home Assistant -> Hyperion Integration

    I am running hyperion to an LED strip running WLED through an ESP8266 and it's working well.

    I wanted to set up home assistant integration to try to set up some routines, unfortunately Home Assistant integration fails to connect.

    I am running home assistant on a Pi5 on the same network. Hyperion is being run on my Windows 10 desktop which serves as the source.

    When I ping from HA to my desktop I have no issues; however, the integration continues to fail.

    JSON is on port 19444 which HA points to. Local API Authentication is off.

    I have tried opening the port on windows firewall temporarily and it made no difference.

    Any suggestions on next steps?

    Attaching a Hyperion debug log as Hyperion-log.txt would make some questions unnecessary.

    Please use the nightly build of Hyperion.

    i have HA also, it should automatically detect Hyperion.NG without any tweaking on the same LAN so no Vlan's that you didnt route yet.


    Try to login on your router and see if HA and Windows pc network adapters getting a DHCP binded ip adres.


    if that. try to ping to both devices.

    sometimes it helps restarting the PI and Windows pc after setting the router.


    try to connect after that.

    Both devices have assigned IP addresses, I can access HA webUI through the PC hosting hyperion.

    HA successfully pings Windows and Windows successfully pings HA.

    As an update, I can do the reverse process - I can search for homeassistant on Hyperion as a source device by adding it as another LED instance, but cannot pair the integration.
