In step 4 of the guide it's for OpenElec so might not exist under other RPi distros as OpenElec and forks of it do most things read-only by default
The lag could be that the buffer size hasn't been increased yet, it's in the troubleshooting chapter if needed.

yes, remount is just for OE/LE/RP
also the location is not /flash/config.txt as you already noticed.We get hopefully soon a sketch/hardware thread around ardunio with limitations/hints and so on.
To gather all available informations and feedback to this problems. Cause people struggle at this point very often -

To gather all available informations and feedback to this problems. Cause people struggle at this point very oftenI am pretty sure it is correct.
The lag is minimal and only noticeable when switching between frames very fast with an RGB test video.
And again only noticeable in comparison with the first ws2801 strip around the TV.
In general use, when watching regular movies it looks great.
When i get the other side of the room finished i will share a video.
I look forward to seeing this arduino thread... -
Maybe I should start making esp8266 based UDP receivers for Hyperion ...

Excited for this. Will help...

Software core is done - just need web config and update over the air support
-
May you could fork and proceed at this point?
The webinterface is half implemented
https://github.com/SciLor/ESP8266_Hyperion_LED-Controller -
Thanks - it's further ahead than my code
-
Sadly the developer stopped to invest further time in it, a completion may a great addition /FastLED /Wifi AP modus by default to configure the wifi credentials..
just flash and configure with webinterface -
for the inital wish "Change colourOrder halfway through device" I just saw that is already implemented, but currently there is no way to configure it. Atm I rework this region of code, I think I will add a possibility to configure color order per led
-
ok I've not read the code completely. There is a simple methode already implemented.
this is the led section. You can set colorOrder to every led you want.
Example:
(first 3 leds are the color order like the device (assume rgb), next 2 leds have bgr and the last has grb order)
```
"leds" :
[
{
"index" : 0,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.5000, "maximum" : 0.5625 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 }
},
{
"index" : 1,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.4375, "maximum" : 0.5000 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 }
},
{
"index" : 2,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.3750, "maximum" : 0.4375 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 }
},
{
"index" : 3,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.3125, "maximum" : 0.3750 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 },
"colorOrder" : "bgr"
},
{
"index" : 4,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.2500, "maximum" : 0.3125 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 }
"colorOrder" : "bgr"
},
{
"index" : 5,
"hscan" : { "minimum" : 0.1875, "maximum" : 0.2500 },
"vscan" : { "minimum" : 0.9200, "maximum" : 1.0000 }
"colorOrder" : "grb"
}
]
Just checked code... it is in fact already implemented :eek:
just flash and configure with webinterface
I made some updates. AP Config is about to come. But it is impossible to configure the LED Type an color this way be because FastLed needs this information at compile time. -
As said before, color order change is made by hyperion. So the leddevice/controller used by hyperion havn't to care about color order.
Btw great to see that ap config is about to come
Hello again all,
I just wanted to update you all regarding the aforementioned RGBW controller board.
I have now listed these on eBay and am looking for opinions more than anything, as I am sure that you guys are more than capable of producing something similar.
Do you think this is a good price for this item?
any tips on my listing?
I am trying to find a better way to ship internationally at a decent cost but it is expensive!
Let me know.
Thanks guys.
