Mini HDMI2AV Issue

Not sure if this is the right place, but does anyone else have if this issue or no how to fix it. Hyperion works great grabbing my directtv, leds work everything is fine till i turn off my directv. The hdmi2av still has the light on from getting power from the hdmi cable out of the splitter. When i turn everything back on hyperion does not work, only way to get it working is to pull the hdmi cable from the hdmi2av converter. Its a pain haveing to go and pull the hdmi cable on it so it power downs then powers back on so it starts sending to hyperion again
