the output voltage is measured 5.12V the link is: https://shop.led-studien.de/de…altnetzteil-5-volt-8a-40w

yea i tried that stuff in the cmdline.txt file but it still flickers... for some baudrates it´s working better for some it´s working worse but it´s never perfect
-
I think also...
SK6812 are more sensitive. Try this. You can change this in the console.
sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt
Add this at the end of the same line, but don't forget space, otherwise the RPi may not start anymore!
spidev.bufsiz=1024000
Save it!
just out of curiousity... what does that do? and i still got the issue that my leds are flashing white every 5-10 seconds... how do i fix this?
-
Okay thanks guys... i installed the LEDs on my tv now and they work really good now... (i´m using a 7000000 baudrate) when i´m running into issues again then i´ll try your tipps... but thanks for your Help
-
ok so now i have disabled platform capture (i´ve also reconnected the level switcher) and changed the Baudrate to 7000000... now some of the Effects work... but also just a short amount of time... i think this is a Baudrate issue... do you know by chance what number i have to put in there to get it to work?
-
ok i did that...
i disabled smoothing and i also tried to go directly from GPIO10 to the LED strip without the level shifter and that did nothing except that not all LEDs are working and they are flashing slightly...
-
so that´s the code

The connections are all good... i tested them
-
so i did the led config and also saved it... when i turn off my raspberry the LEDs also stay white... and when hyperion rebooted it doesn´t do the rainbow thing
-
So when i connect it like you said in the Picture and select the S6812 spi then the LEDs just all light up white... the led controller is running and i also changed the Baudrate to 2000000
-
oh i´m sorry... i am really not that experienced in this stuff and English is not my native language... okay i will try that... thanks

I installed Hyperion.ng as hyperbian directly on the SD card... i think i´m running it under root then.
but can´t i controll my LEDs with PWM? i don´t want to buy an extra controller.
Also my LEDs only have 3 wires (only one Data wire)
-
i also kind of don´t know what i have to put in the DMA and PWM channel fields because i don´t know what they do
-
I connected the LEDs like this... except i use a external 5V source with 8A
-
i haven´t got a extra controller for the LEDs... that´s why i wanted to use the PWM method... but that doesn´t work
-
Hey...
thanks for your answer... but sadly both of them didn´t work... i tried running it on the GPIO 18 and 12 with the disabled Audio in the config and it still didn´t work at all.
I also tried the SPI (with the sk6812spi setting) but when i connect it to the GIPO 10 it just lights up white and not with the effect i chose

Hey there...
So i bought a Raspberry pi 4 and some SK6812 RGBW LEDs. I connected them to the Raspberry pi (with a Level switcher from 3.3 to 5v) and set the Hyperion ng up. but when i run a test they just don´t work. You can see my settings below and i also tested the connections to see if they were broken but they are fine.
i don´t know what to put in to the PWM and DNA Channels but they were set by default.
Can someone help me?
