I have the same splitter and CEC works flawlessly with Dolby vision and atmos with my Apple TV 4K. The output 2 of the splitter connects to a capture card, that then goes to a raspberryPi. However, I use HyperHDR instead of Hyperion, for the HDR tone-mapping.

The gofanco doesn't support CEC. I have the Ezcoo, which works well for CEC and HDCP. However, I use HyperHDR, which does the tone-mapping automatically. Maybe look into a capture card that does tone mapping?

I'm not OP, but a wild guess would be, OP got the same setup as me.

This kit is pretty much plug and play.
Normally you would be fine with this setup, until you realize that this LED kit is pretty slow compared to what's on the market. I actually just got into searching for alternative, faster led kit that would work with my setup as a possible upgrade. That's an interesting all-in-one ambilight, didn't know it existed. It looks very reasonably priced for what it claims to do! Thanks for sharing!

I can also confirm that the EZCOO SP12HAS has working CEC while still allowing Dolby Vision to passthrough output 1. Worked out of the box without any tinkering.

Can HyperHDR forward to Hyperion?
-
Hubert Kosinski have you tested the capture card with Dolby vision content? Would it still passthrough?
-
Think there are any future plans for Hyperion to eventually support HDR, instead of having to resort to HyperHDR?
-
Ambientheater77 what happens when you play Dolby Vision content?

Although Dolby Vision can't be downscaled, would a capture card like the Elgato S60 be able to adjust for Tone Mapping of HDR?
