  • How to turn off the rainbow signal when there is no signal on the hdmi grabber

    Nothing works...

    Used al kind of combinations


    My working solution:)


    I spent a few hours setting up everything from analog capture with a very old

    version of osmc hyperion to newest Hyperbian USB HDMI capure.

    What a relief :)



    I only had the well-known problem that with the cheap USB HDMI capture I couldn't get the lights off after watching TV.

    I've been thinking about that for a day and a known problem for many I think.

    I had already thought of, read and done everything but nothing worked.

    Until I started thinking outside the software box :)


    I hooked up the Raspberry Pi (3 in my case) to my USB from my TV.

    It boots up nicely when my TV is turned on.

    And everything turns off when the TV goes off:)


    Nah.... That I hadn't thought of that before.


    I my case i'm using 2 Lightpacks behind a 55" and it was always working nice with sometimess (osmc) a little unstable

    because it could't find the second lightpack. Once booted it never went off so it was a minor problem.

    With hyperbian it always finds the 2 lightpacks en the HDMi grabber it is very stable!

    Got some minor hyperbian light configuration problems that the light id was not the correct place in the layout.

    Once that was solved its working as a dream.

    Saved config an never leave this software:)

  • Andere oplossing om lampen uit te doen na TV kijken

    Ik was een paar uur bezig alles op te zetten van analoog capture met een hele oude versie van osmc hyperion naar

    Hyperbian USB HDMI capure.

    Wat een verademing:)



    Alleen had ik het bekende probleem dat met de goedkope USB HDMI capture ik de lampen niet uit kreeg na TV kijken.

    Daar was ik al een dag over na aan het denken en een bekend probleem voor velen denk ik.

    Had al van alles bedacht, gelezen en gedaan maar niks werkte.


    Totdat ik eens buiten de software box ging denken:)


    Ik heb de Raspberry Pi (3 in mijn geval) aan mijn USB gehangen van mijn TV.

    Hij boot mooi op als mijn TV aangezet wordt.

    En alles gaat netjes uit als de TV uitgaat:)


    Nah....

    Dat ik daar niet eerder aan gedacht had..


    Wel slim om je micro sd kaart read only te maken omdat de power er abrupt vanaf gaat.
