Right now while debugging my Output 2 is going to my laptop running OBS (final setup will be a pi4 running Hyperion).

This setup works if I change my input source to something alternative (like a Nintendo Switch).

I’ll try and force the Firestick resolution to 1080p and disable HDR. That should make the output signal to the HDMI switch more predictable when setting

Thanks Ambient for the confirmation that the 8k Splitter isn’t the issue. I was hoping that was the case being max resolution and it could still downscale appropriately. When alternating the order in which I turn on the devices (Splitter/Firestick) I have successfully seen the initial “Firestick” on logo on the capture source before it immediately goes to the no signal.

    Hello all,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction with my HDMI splitter/grabber setup.

    Setup:

    Input Source: Amazon Firestick

    HDMI Splitter: GoFanco

    Capture Card: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGMYPBF4?tag=hyperioforum-21&ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2

My issue is that Output 1 to the TV works fine (both audio and video signals coming through). Output 2 which goes through my Capture Card just continuously blinks no signal. I've tried multiple HDMI cables, switching outputs, all EDID settings (auto, copy, etc.). Nothing seems to work. So my question is what is most likely the culprit?

    1. HDCP? The splitter should be HDCP 2.3/2.2 compliant (unless the capture card also needs to be which defeats the purpose of the splitter).
    2. EDID/HDR/Downscaling? I only need 1080p to my TV so maybe an 8K capable splitter is overkill?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Yes I have read the Pinned Post. My issue is I am US based, so that really limits my available products. Also CEC is a must have. I am able to successfully use the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VP37KMB?tag=hyperioforum-21&ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 in this same setup with no issues - other than CEC which is not be expected.

    Thanks!
