  • Using Pi 3B as an LED driver for sk6812 with rooted LGTV how to start the driver service?

    Hi All,

    Trying to find info and think I am missing something basic,

    I have a rooted LGTV running PicCap and Hyperion (took me ages to work out hyperion was running on the tv and didn't need to be running on the Pi)

    I have setup the LED layout and can see the live video so know everything is working up to there.

    I have a Pi under the TV running other things that I would like to try using to run the LEDs (so can't reinstall with Hyerbian).

    I have enabled SPI on the Pi and wired into GPIO 18, I got one green led light up at some point in the installation but nothing now.

    I have installed (I think) jgarff's rpi_ws281x but not exactly sure how to 'run'/start the service/driver so Hyperion will see it, I have tried googling lots of things but not sure if i need to 'compile' something or setup a virtual thing to run it, any pointers or directions would be very gratefully received.

    It will be running 200 SK6812 LED's and I have a dedicated power supply for them
