Just for info, it turns out my grabber had died after one days use. I plugged it in today via a powered USB hub and it started smoking. Replaced it and my setup is now back up and working okay :D

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello all,

Yesterday I had my setup working perfectly with a Raspberry Pi, OSMC and A Logilink Video grabber.

Today, I've come to use my setup and noticed a new problem. The Video Grabber is blinking its green LED all the time. Logging into my Pi I can see the following errors in DMESG.

    [ 217.516840] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 217.772869] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 218.028928] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 218.284949] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 218.540971] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 218.797026] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 219.053061] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 219.309076] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 219.565108] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 219.821144] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    [ 220.077181] usb 1-1-port2: over-current change
    (on and on and on....)

Does this my grabber is faulty? I can't really see how it's a power issue as nothing has changed!!!

    Thanks

    P

PS. I have set max_usb_current=1 in the config.txt

Okay, so I think i've got this as good as I can get it.

What do you think? Can you make any suggestions? I'm still very new with all of this...

    Thanks,

    Hello all,

First of all I'd like to say thank you for this software, the support and now the community forum, it's all excellent so keep up the good work :D

I've recently started a light project and I think I'm very close to the end, the only thing I have left to do is color calibration, and there's only two colors I have left to do are Yellow and White.

I'm using a RPI3, with Hyperian. I've followed the calibration tutorial and always start with getting my white levels right. So when I've got a white i'm happy with, I start to look at gamma, when i'm happy with that, I do the colours. Now all the colours are fine, apart from one, and that's yellow. It's always Green. I've worked out if I change the green Gamma setting to about 5.0 I get a yellow colour, but then I lose my white which I configured earlier :(

Can anyone give me any pointers in how to successfully calibrate both yellow and white successfully.

Any help would be mostly appreciated,

    Thanks

So I fixed all issues with this last night.

    1. The grabber wasn't working because I had the config and HDMI2AV switch set to "PAL" (I'm in the UK), changing both to NTSC fixed the grabber.
    2. The sound wasn't working because my devices settings for "TV Output" were set to "Auto", forcing it to HDMI resolved the issue.

    Thanks for help :D

Was wondering if I could get some help with my Yellow colour if possible?

My yellow comes out green and I have no idea what changes to make to fix it...

I've done a quick YouTube video with the colours from the calibration page, can anyone help?

When connected via the amp the grabber doesn't appear to work. I shall try removing the amp from the equation and connect xbox directly to hdmi splitter to see if this fixes the issue.

Weirdly when I connect everything up as I showed in the picture, all my devices connected to the amp lose their sound and I get no sound coming out of the amp. I suspect this is due to an issue with my amp rather than anything else though.

    Thanks for your input. ;)

    Hello all,

Im currently having some issues with my setup and was wondering if anyone could help?

Im currently trying to setup my raspberry pi 3 to control my LEDs with hyperion software for all my video. The problem I'm having is that I'm not sure if it works when all video outputs are being controlled by an amp? Does anyone control their video through an amp and has hyperion successfully working?

So, my Sky box, xbox and PS4 connect into my amp, my amp then connects to my TV. I've put a HDMI splitter between the Amp and the TV and connected a raspberry Pi up to it with a video grabber but it's not working. Should it work when connected via an amp?

    Thanks
