Well, if you ask me. I think you never get that great native feeling from a webinterface. The Apps are not intended to replace or come close to the function set of the webinterface. Further options like integration of smartwatches, short effect playing when new messages arrive and such stuff might be more interesting on the long run.
At least we keep the possibilities whatever you may want to do.I would agree on that. I think a native app with all features it brings would be better than a webui with mobile support. Besides that I think that the WebUI is mainly for configuration and analysis. Controlling hyperion would be second place I think.
I think the most users will configure Hyperion via Desktop or Laptop and not via Smartphone. -
Make sure to take a look at the new version of hyperion, hyperion.ng. https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.ng
There are many nice things in the json rpc you can use and they are getting more "every day"Looking forward to your app. I can test several things and help with some obj-c questions if needed

Yes, right. But Philips stripes can only show one color. (In my opinion with that reason they are far too expensive.)
You need an other stripe like APA102 or WS2801 to do that. You can see a tutorial here in this forum.Yes Hypercon is a little bit confusing in combination with PhilipsHue but I can say that this is something we are working on currently
I personally use two Hue Bulbs on the left and right of the tv. So only two leds in the config with two Bulbs with the LightID.
Besides that i will upgrade to a real ambilight stip like APA102 in the very near future -
I think you get this error
"ssh in: what(): Not enough lights found at http://192.168.1.103/api/MY_USER_ID/lights"
because you are defined more LEDs than the Philips Api can found.Do I understand it right?
You have one Hue Light Strip? I believe hue light strip can only one color on all LEDs, so basiclly you only have one LED for your configuration.
Try it with only one please. -
Don't know if this would cause the error but since you have only one hue light in your index you can only have one led in leds section and not > 40

Seems like you don't have created a HUE api User.
In username key is the value MY_USER_IDYou have do edit this with a hue api User.
More information how you do that here: http://www.developers.meethue.…mentation/getting-started
