How many ground connections should I have and where?
Should I have one common ground among devices ?

I have done that quite a few times always with the same result.
It always freezes on the same led though I think I'm gonna try and replace it. I saw on another post that someone had a similar issue and although the led sometimes turned on it turned out to be faultyAfter that I have no idea...

Sometimes when i turn it on it works perfectly for like a minute then freezes in colours it captures from the end of the second strip forward
-
all leds as they should work?
Yes -
Should I try and "remove" the last working led and the first not working ?
The broken one might not be receiving but the working one might not be sending ? -
For example
Now I turned it on. Everything works fine for a 1min then it freezes half way -
Can't right now probably only later or tomorrow
-
Deep down I know that, hate it lool thnx for your help
Have tried everything -
I have one PSU ground on the first led
And a raspberry ground pin 9 to ending of last stripI have 4 connections supplying 5v to each strip
All solders on all corners are connected except for the last to the first obviously
-
Is there any chance this could be a powering / wiring / grounding issue ?
-
Assuming that works it would light up the rest of the strip but not the next strip right? Because Hyperion has a different number of Leds. And that would mean I could insert a new led right?
Not being the issue it would either do the same or something different -
Which would be the best way ? Overlapping?
-
The freezing point ? Yes
But if it were broken it would never light up right? I occasionally get it to work right but then it freezes -
Only half way
-
Thank you all the same for your help
I currently have one ground connected from the PSU to the beginning of the led strip and a ground from RASPI pin 9 to end of the strip -
I did change it to six.
With the results I mentioned above
Now I rebooted again and the whole thing worked for seconds and then half froze -
And now only half light up with a few random after
-
It worked for a few seconds.. half the strip froze
-
Correction to the end of the last strip
-
Thank you for the quick reply
The ground pin is connected from pin 39 to the begging of the led strip led0
