Just to clarify: that grabber works with USB 2.0 on Rpi3. USB bandwidth usage is minimal for MJPEG encoding....decoding on Hyperion.NG is another story.

So, from your point of view, the best way is replace the old analogic grabber by ezcap269 in my RPi3 even though it has USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0 and continue with my Hyperion NG installation in RPi 3 directly, right?

    Thanks! :)

    Hi team,

Thank you very much for your great project, it's amazing!
I would like to install Hyperion NG on my Windows machine with the capture ez269 connected via USB 3.0.

My question here is, I'm using apa102 leds connected to my RPi 3 via SPI and I would like to send the signal to the Hyperion NG installed on my Windows machine, can I do that?

If not, maybe it's possible in an opposite way, send the capture data from ez269 connected to my Windows machine to the RPi 3 where I could install Hyperion NG.

The purpose of that, is avoid place an order of RPi 4 with USB 3.0 for ez269 and use the RPi 3 for SPI.

    Thanks in advance!

@nash Yeah it's something high on the list to fix, bit busy on another project but once that settles down a bit and hasn't been fixed yet will see if we can start working on solution :)

    Tech explanation:

It's most likely caused by the view port expanding so we need to prevent that without adding a ton of extra code with either a new library or workaround

Thank you very much @Rick164 your work is awesome and this project/software could be brilliant working with Gigabit Ethernet or WiFi AC, in the future I hope that Raspberry would implement Gigabit Ethernet or WiFi AC technology for better network speed, so this project is the future!

If I can help you with something, please let me know :)

So sorry Brindosch, I'm agree with you, the Windows Grabber works like a charm with the scaling at 100%.

I have a Dell XPS 15 with a 4K Display, it so difficult see the icons with the scaling at 100% but it works, thank so much, I hope that this could be implemented in the next releases :)

    Hi team,

Firstly, thank you very much to Hyperion Staff, you are awesome, I can work with APA102 and RPi2 like a charm!
On the other hand, thanks to Rick and djhansel for the Windows Grabber, it could be the perfect addon for Windows PCs.

I have Windows 10 Prof. x64 (Anniversary Update) and I have installed the last release from djhansel repository (v1.4) without issues, my config is:

Where 192.168.2.4 is the IP Address on my RPi (I have changed only this, the other options are by default), when I save and close, the Screen Grabber is change to Enabled status, however, my leds strip are grabbing the Kodi (OSMC) and not my PC, do you know what I'm doing bad? Should I change the Port?

HyperCon works without issues, connecting via SSH... :(
