Important Notes
- Only HDMI output #4 supports HDR to SDR enhancement
- Downscaling to 720p and 480p is not supported
- Does NOT support resolution downscaling from 4K @60Hz 4:2:2 to 1080p
- YCbCr 4:2:2 downscaling is not supported
- Frame rate conversion (e.g., 60Hz to 24Hz) is not supported
Have you sent the signal to the display and not to the grabber, is there a picture?

640x480 ist also OK.

Hyperion requires addressable LEDs.

Very good power supply!
Level shifter, resistance, fuse are optional but recommended. I supply the ESP with the Stripes power supply, but it also works with an external power supply or via USB.
For ESP: DATA common ground is always required.
If you supply the Stripes with the power supply unit +5V.
The 2 lines to the power supply unit of the Stripes, the 3 lines with plugs to the ESP if you supply the ESP via the power supply unit of the Stripes. If the ESP is supplied externally, then do not connect the +5 volt line from the 3 lines.

v0.14.0-b1 "Hoshi" is the current WLED version, why don't you update it?
In the version soundreactive can run as USERMODS.
And if you don't want that, why don't you update to 0.13.3
You should also consider switching to ESP32 for soundreactive, only then do you have all the effects, and especially the 'beautiful' ESP8266 is no longer supported.
This branch is 521 commits ahead, 1736 commits behind Aircoookie:main.
v.0.12.0 is a lot further behind!

You need a 5V power supply for the strips that supplies enough amperes for the number of LEDs you are using. With 300 LEDs that would be max. 15 amps.
You can also supply the ESP via the power supply unit, but it is also possible to supply the ESP externally via a 5V USB power supply unit.

ESP8266 is OK, an ESP32 would be better.

Both have WLED firmware, can't you select SK6812 in the WLED WebUI > LED Preferences?
