Is possible, test the grabber on another device, e.g. a PC.

Not every remote control has the Rakuten button, some have a different name.
Asturel has published something on Discord openLGTV or in his git where you can use the color buttons.

Check the live video provided by PicCap in Hyperion.
With SDR, this should correspond to the TV picture. With HDR and DolbyVision, the colors and brightness often have to be adjusted.
Does Hyperion also run on the TV?
Have you already calibrated the colors?
You can also adjust the gamma values. Smaller values result in brighter LEDs.

No, that doesn't work, you need a splitter or matrix with ARC.

I would open the device and measure if PIN 13 goes through from HDMI IN to HDMI OUT 1.
You can also do this with an 'old' Hdmi cable, cut through and measure PIN 13 CEC.
With the browser search you can find out the color of the cable.

HDMI-CEC communication is possible between source and HDMI 1.
Older VSP01201 could not CEC.
There are also HDMI cables where PIN 13 is not connected through.

systemctl status hyperion@username
systemctl start hyperion@username
usw.

Was steht jetzt im PicCap Log?
