Dear Paulchen-Panther ... I have no words to describe how I appreciate your help!
For some reason my GPIO18 is dead...i did follow your tip and I (you) made it work!

can we use another gpio pin for SK6812/WS2812B?
-
my only unused Pis are Zeros
That will work ??
-
Would be worth to check same configuration on a diffrent RPi.
Im proposing this because had simiular issue. At the end I did discover that GPIO pin is fried
-
No? HDCP is a copyright protection scheme (to support it you need to get asymetric encryption keys and sign bunch of agreements that force you not to send out unencrypted content to the next device) and has nothing to do with HDR.
Good to know.
I was not even aware of fake cards... sorry for mislead then -
Hi!
This is interesting behaviour.
Did you try to connect your strip to GPIO 18 and run it with WS2812X [PWM]?
Also would you be so kind and lead me how did you connect your strip to GPIO10? How to enable SPI?
How about the baudrate? I dont really get it how to make it work.
all the best!! -
It has to be written on the card HDCP2.2 and you will be good to go
My one works with HDR content, but i do not use HYPERhdr - I just dont see a point to force leds to work with HDR. -
Hello !
Im in trouble, looking for a solution (wife moaning behind my back).
I can see, that my GPIO18 not working - probably fried. Didnt manage to run the GPIO test.
Can someone leadme how to connect my strip to another GPIO?
My strip is SK6812RGBW, was working under GPIO18. I did read somewhere about GPIO11 but unable to find the source.
Do I need to change anything in a config file?
All help will be appreciate -
I have the same question, my TV won't do HDR when I have hyperion running. I'm wondering if I may need a 4k-HDR video capture device. Does anyone here know if that might be the case?
True ! To have working HDR you need a HDR capture card.
Check Zasluke - good quality cards, also you will need a hyperHDR to handle HDR input ;] -
I am not sure if hyperion can handle HDR.
Check for hyperhdr - hyperion fork. -
Hello Folks!
First things first!
I wish you all the best for the New Year!
Now, lets go back to the shore.
Patient RPi 4B 8GB. Due to electrical issue (bad connection) raspberry stopped sending signal via GPIO18.
I did make a backup and i've restored it to 3b+ - works like a charm.
is there a way to check if gpio18 is healty?
Kind regards!
Once again - all the best! -
Turn on screen capture - you'll get your lighting according what is going on on the monitor ;] (I guess)

Good morning Folks!
Im facing a interesting issue with migration from SD card to USB drive.
Since I upgraded my RPI to 4B 8GB I made new SD card with retropie on top and Hyperion Alpha 10 (cant manage with 11 yet) under.
With SD card all works like charm, when I have done same procedure with USB drive, after uploading json conf I cant turn leds on.
All seems to be fine, grabber works, got picture, leds setting are correct - no idea what is going on. Would like to provide logs but unsure how to
100% this is not wiring issue (such a shame i would fix it straight away) -
TPmodding Are RGBW SK6812's still the best to get for a new setup?
If you looking for a full range colour strip then SK6812RGBW will work for you.
60leds/m is more than enough for me. My screen is 65 curved. -
The issue might be in the fact that your power supply's voltage and current rating are not compatible with your LED strip
Ture! Try with diffrent PSU. I have simular setup to your with no shifer - works like a charm.
In fact my SK6812RGBW is driven by GPIO 18 (RPI PWM ws281x)
-
This is how my setup is wired:
Why do you use extrenal splitter if you have av receiver working as a splittler?
Just curious... -
What was the issue finally? ;]
-
I'm afraid of messing up the RPi :x
Tip of the day - before soldering unplug rpi from PSU
-
Only if used separate PSU for Raspi and for ledstrip then you can run the Raspi at slightly higher voltage
Yeah, but both need common ground I believe ;]
-
Dr Zzz's tutorial this will help you with whole process how to do it ;]
Don't you bother that Zzz's uses WS2812B. I have same strip as yours and works perfectly with this tutorial.
