Ambilight with NodeMCU extension

    RPi1/Zero, +nodeMCU/ESP8266
    Hello,

    today I will present my Ambilight with NodeMCU extension.

    Hardware on the TV:

    -148 LPD8806 LEDs
    -Raspberry Pi 1 B+
    -5V 12A power supply
    -HDMI spitter
    -HDMI switch
    -USB grabber
    -HDMI to AV Composite

    Hardware in the uplight (NodeMCU extension):

    -138 Apa102 LEDs
    -NodeMCU
    -5V 10A power supply
    -0,5mm aluminium sheet
    -Level shifter 74AHCT125 (against the flicker of the LEDs)

    The orange cable is a CAT7 network cable (shielded) for the Data and Clock signals.

    I completely forgot to reply! Thank you for posting this here too. I plan a community gallery to show all that amazing ideas. But i need more setups @all :)

    Great to see my nodemcu code is used. Did you make any changes to it that may be useful for further development of it? I extended it a bit the last days. Maybe I add some effects to be triggered by the hyperion app connected to the nodemcu directly
