Cant turn off some of the LED's

  • Hello.

I have a TV with a very large frame on the bottom where are also 4 LED's attached on the backside. So because of that i want to turn off the 4 LED's on the bottom of the sides. In the LED Array that are the first 4 and the last 4 LED's.

So i made two color profiels where one profile are from LED 4 to LED 55 with normal colors and one with the other 8 LED's where the brighten and some other color correction parameters are zero.
But when i load that config to my Raspberry Pi the LED's stay black.

    This is my Config

I have a Raspberry PI Model B+ with OSMC Installed and updated OSMC and Hyperion.

  • Greetings,
currently we disabled the index and profile option due to problems. We need time to investigate it.
    I am sorry.

So it is not applicable to use the "leds" ranges.

Could you show a picture what in specific you mean with you leds ranged 0-3 56-59 should stay black?

    Thank you

  • So this is the TV i have http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTE5NlgxNjAw/z/iQIAAOSwstxVWK9P/$_1.JPG
And you can see there is a very large frame on the bottom with no screen. When i mounted my LED's a year ago for another project i didnt thought where the Screen of the TV realy is and where there is only frame. So now i have 4 LED's on the left and the right side where is only a frame and not a screen what means that these 4 LED's distort the ambilight on the sides a little bit.

The best you can see it on this picture http://i.imgur.com/9tnHFzG.jpg
I wanted to arrange the LED's in hyperion like that http://i.imgur.com/o6oKJk5.jpg
and then turn off the 8 LED's on the bottom of the screen so the ambilight fits again.

So this is realy an issue that ruin all but because everything works perfect by now there is only that little thing i would love to change.

  • Hm, a "easy" solution would be manipulation to your .json
Recreate your config with the right amount of leds. So -8 leds (-4 left side -4 right side)
That you just use the amount of leds you really want to use.

    Inside .json
Add 4 leds at the beginnig of your "LEDS" config part with hscan vscan 0
Do the same at the end of the "LEDS" config with additional 4 leds.

Of couse now you need to edit the corresponding led numbers at the .json through the whole LED config file.
    This should work.

Just ask if you need more help
