Hello folks First of all, my setup works well more than a year so I don't actually have a strong reason to upgrade my installation looking for new features But just in case if I need... what is a proper procedure to perform an upgrade on top of existing installation? Just in case of curiosity, my setup is Raspberry Pi 2 with Raspbian (jessie) and ws2812b connected via logic level converter
If it's working - just leave it. At some point (soon I hope!) Hyperion.ng will be a reinstall so save your frustrations for then ! Having said that, to upgrade Hyperion versions, I would : copy the config and any custom effects you have to a safe place Reinstall over the top Replace config and custom effects if they get trashed Never tried it myself tho
