I hope not, but if you want to give it a shot, let me know and we'll figure it out somehow
it seems more like. finished. a good stable solid base for some developer to fork and add features to. as a long time linux user/noob amiblighter this is probably the most well thought out and organized open source project ive ever seen that wasnt android related. just the thought of the monotonous maths needed to make all these effects, and the remote works crazy well from my experience. plus my tv looks freakin awesome now
I have been using this fork: https://github.com/brindosch/hyperion.ngBeta/tree/rework . This fork runs better then the official ngBeta for me.
Going to give that one a whirl.
EDIT: It's actually a pull from the "master" not the rework on that Git. Didn't notice that till now. One more to try =)
Im also wondering as there is still no answer...
It is not dead...but in more than 1 year no new devs joined the team or helped...

i wish i could
Well, fixing the forum sing up would probably help. That aside, it would be a shame if this is dead. I'm just starting out and can't seem to think of a good reason why interest would be falling. This is still a brilliant solution to buying a great tv and having a great option from a nowadays not so great tv builder
I think the problem of this project is that it's already working too well. I installed it, configured it and it's been working great since then...
Usually dev do improve software because they need to, if there is no really need, not so many dev would spend their free time on it.
there is so much to do...
The core function are working just fine, the configuration/installation could hardly be easier than with the current GUI.
What's the important feature that are missing? A lot is in progress with the new version, but I think that in the end, I wouldn't see the difference in everyday usage.
hello friends, I'm not a developer, but would like to contribute by running tests when needed.
Just as a user, I have some ideas but I do not know how difficult it is to implement this ..
- Turn off the Led when the TV is off and turn on when the TV is turned on
- Scheduled tasks to turn on the led at certain times when the TV is switched off.
- Support for RGB Sidekicks
I am willing to help wherever I can.
Hi Touliloup, Thanks for the answers
in my case, the tape turns off but then transmits the image from the HDMI to RCA converter (those colored bands are vertical)

Just use an 5V Relais for your Tools + LEDS. Use the 5V USB Port from your TV, TV turns on, USB Port gives 5V, Relais open, current for Tools + LEDS flow, TV turns off USB Port gives not 5V, Relais closed.
