Does anyone know if Hyperion will work with the rock64 board? https://www.pine64.org/?product=rock64-media-board-computer It should have the same GPIO Pins as a raspberry, so that shouldn't be a problem. But I don't have one yet, so I'm asking. Also, if GPIO wouldn't work, Hyperion should work with an arduino, right? I hope this board gets support, since it's more powerful than a pi, and doesn't have the bug like odroid...
I got a response from a moderator. They don't know it hyperion is supported or not, but if the devs want to test it, they can get some boards provided. Would be awesome^^ ( https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=5653&pid=35435 )
Hello @qwasy , the biggest problem may be the capture stuff. I'm actually busy with furher hyperion core refactoring so all hardware related stuff is delayed until everything is finished.
.... are there ANY plans to support this hardware? It is starting to get pretty popular with increasingly stable Libreelec releases - I am seriously considering dumping my Odroid C2 in favour of one - Just need to get HyperionNG support too! Cheers Z.
It's an old Thread, but maybe I can help someone. On my Rock64 Hyperion works. I installed the Hyperion Addon manually -> https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.kodi. Hyperion bin files --> "/storage/.kodi/addons/service.hyperion/" Hyperion config files --> "/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.hyperion/hyperion.config.json"
Oh nice^^ Could you write a bit about your setup? What Libreelec version, if you needed an Arduino or the GPIO Pins, and if you have any Problems? Like 4K Videos and such..
Now, it run with an ESP32 over UDP and works great. Here the files for the ESP32 --> https://github.com/SciLor/Hyperion_LED-Controller It works with internal grabber and external grabber. External Grabber --> https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07B9ZXLN2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The only thing is, that Kodi has to be started first. (Kodi is started --> power on ESP32) I will do more tests next week. Rock64 GPIO, Arduino, and so on.
Hi Kasi. How did you get it working with an internal grabber? I would rather avoid using an external grabber. When i try to run hyperion-framebuffer it gives me errors like FRAMEBUFFERGRABBER ERROR: Unknown pixel format: 16190616 bits per pixel. Probably because it is using the wrong framebuffer device. If i run with -d /dev/fb0, i get a segfault. I couldn't get hyperion-x11 compiled, but i doubt it would work. I am running Libreelec on a Rockpro64
