What's better raspberry pi 3b+ directly connected to the LED or WLED connected over Wifi?[ws2812b]

  • Hello, Today I got my leds ws2812b.
I want to use it for my hyperion installed on raspberry pi 3b+. I don't have a hdmi grabber, I want to use Android Grabber.
What's the best way to connect LED's ?
I'd like to add first think to connect was wled(esp32) ->USB(adalight) ->Raspberry pi but on my pi is some problems with USB and all of USB's doesn't have power.

    P.S I bought 4m ws2812b for 55 inch TV.

  • Why not over Wifi?
    WLED has many options. ;)

  • Bit late on the topic, but I'm running 3b and external hdmi/usb grabber on 7.5m of sk9822/60 wired direct to port18 and you cannot notice lag on any TV or game signal. Needed a logic converter as such long led's, but rocking straight out of the box otherwise. Found a geat grabber with 4k@60fps and HDR10 passthrough supporting hdcp 2.2
