HyperBian - 2.0.0-alpha.10 upgrade from alpha.9 - not starting

    after upgrade from alpha.9 to alpha.10 with apt (https://apt.hyperion-project.org/) on HyperBian

    Hyperion doesn't want to start

    what went wrong with the update?

    First of all, it depends on how you uninstalled Alpha 9 in Hyperbian. Hyperbian Alpha 9 used to be installed manually with the deb package from GitHub. Since all dependencies are included there, this will not correspond with the installation of Alpha 10. Make sure that you have updated the Hyperbian distro before installing Alpha 10 (using sudo apt-get update).


    Nevertheless, I will test the update from Hyperbian Alpha 9 to Alpha 10 myself tomorrow after work.

    Since Hyperion is only integrated in the APT repository since alpha 10, no normal update procedure helps here. Either you write the current HyperBian to a new SD card and copy your settings from the folder /home/pi/.hyperion to your new card or you uninstall Hyperion again and delete the folder /usr/share/hyperion before you reinstall hyperion.
