Do you have 30 or 60 led/meters in your config? Is it a LG CX TV :p
I'm using a 30 led/m sk6812 RGBNW strip. I don't own a CX I have the B8 Model, it's an older model but it does the job.

I'm using the Logitech C270 Cam
how are you setups doint with dark browns? or with games like jouney?
I made a video for you using the logitech c270 cam. It is not perfect but good enough for me. I captured the video with my phone and in my experience there is some difference between the video and what you actually see.
Hi David Hequet,
I tried yesterday again setting the exposure to manual with a fresh hyperbian install and now it is working fine.
Here my final settings (hopefully)
for ps4 and ps5 you can also use the Android Grabber + Chiaki App and it'll give you a nice result.
finaly i let automatic exposure, if i have time i will retry manual (did you change the exposure_auto_priority too?)
I only changed the brightness and saturation in the rc.local file. Everything else is standard. These are my current settings:
how would you guys rate the color accuracy of your settings by now? if via hdmi is, let's say, a 10, via camera it is a?
Using the right camera with proper settings I'll give it an 8. I see it as an viable alternative to other commercial products using a camera as grabber (govee, ambivision).
Hi David Hequet
I tried setting the exposure to manual using guvcview but I noticed that the value for absolute exposure keeps increasing although I had everything set to manual. (White balance and exposure) does it also occurs to you?

I played a youtube video of journey and the color of the leds were not so accurate. It was more of a white tone. I haven't tried to calibrate any colors yet. I'll try to do it this days and upload a photo/video.
Hallo Mike72
Video from last night, switching to camera was a good idea
Wow! Really nice results! Did you also change the parameter exposure priority or only the saturation?
How do you guys deal with different refresh rates? can you set different refresh rates on your cameras? Can that be done in any way?
I didn't had any issues with the different refresh rates or at least it wasn't noticeable for me. The logi c270 cam with its default parameters does a good job. I don't see any flickering either in the UI nor in the leds.
Did you keep the camera default setting (auto exposure..) ?
At the moment I took the videos the camera was running with its standard settings. Now I've increased the saturation from 32 to 50 and set exposure_auto_priority to ON
Follow this to set your parameters on startup/camera plug
Thanks! I didn't know you can change the settings when the camera is plugged. I added my settings to the rc.local file, but will try the other option.
Do you believe it could work witha 4-5 meters distance?
That shouldn't be a problem. As long as your devices have a good connection to your router I don't see a problem.
very nice result, i have the same webcam and have to say that this is an nice option to try out in the bedroom.
what's the distance between the cam and tv ?
The distance is maybe 1.5-2 meters. The pi is connected to a power bank, this allows me to place the pi further away from the tv to get the complete screen. The signal is sent to an esp8266 behind the tv running wled
Hello,
I am also using a setup using a rpi zero w together with a logitech c270 webcam. Behind my tv I have an esp8266 runnig wled, which drives the led strip.
here are some examples of my setup. the results are fine for me.
The videos were shot during day time. At night the effects are nicer, but sudden changes in brightness are difficult for the cam and it takes a moment until the cam automatically adjusts the exposure.
