Hi again,
exporting included effects does not work:
Pi4:~/hyperion_pr1868/bin # ./hyperiond --export-effects /storage/.hyperion/custom-effects/
Extract to folder: /storage/.hyperion/custom-effects
Extract: atomic.json ... Error, aborting
Best regards

Does blacklisting change the Generated/Current LED Configuration Textfield?
If not you can try to edit it manually.

Hi again,
all switches are affected.
First time switching is almost instantly.
2nd time takes 3-4 seconds.
3rd time takes about 10 seconds.
4th time takes about 30 seconds.
...
The GUI is fine, but the LED response is what takes so long.
EDIT:

I want to share my log with you but can not reproduce the issue. GIve me some minutes....
I swear, I was able to repeat this at least 5 times today, restarting several times in between but somehow all is fine now.
So I must have changed some setting which i can not remember.
We may never know. Sorry

Marxon What should we do without you!
Tastes a little bit sarcastic

Switches are working now but switching takes longer every time you switch.
Restarting Hyperion does help temporally.

Because my last post was merged and may not get noticed, i post it again:
Dashboard's component status switches are not working.
At least smoothing, blackbar detection and led output, can't really test the boblight switch.

Well done!
Gears are working again.

Found an issue (a really tiny one):
I don't know when they stopped working but
all the little blue gears are not working anymore!

-
Hi pclin,
thanks for your input!
Smoothing settings:
of course deactivated
Baudrate:
Latch time is set to 4ms (pwm mode). Shouldt be enough for 198 WS2812 leds.
Faster LED stripes:
WS2812 shouldt be fast enough for watching 50Hz content.
FPS:
Need to test this...
Driver/receiver:
Because my data line runs next to my PSU, wifi router, DECT phone and power line, i was fighting led flickering.
Best regards

Hi everybody,
i know this gonna be a luxury request but nevertheless is it possible to get less latency?
I am watching lot of concerts and DJ sets with corresponding light shows and here latency in image and Hyperion is particularly noticeable.
My setup consists of a Raspberry Pi 4 running LibreElec, 198 WS2812 Leds connected via a set of SN75174 Driver / SN75176 Receiver combo and Rudihorns DRM-VC4-Grabber.
According datasheets the SN75174 Driver / SN75176 Receiver combo should add a worst case delay of max 0.2ms, so should be negligible.
I don't really know whats causing the latency: Hyperion, the grabber, the Pi 4 or the WS2812 leds?
So any suggestions to reduce latency are welcome.
Best regards

LOL
No problem, I think something similar has happened to all of us at some point.

Hi again!
Sorry i was busy the last days.
But it seems you have been quiet diligent.

Just installed your latest version of pr1860.
Until now everything is working flawlessly.
-
Export issue fixed!

-
That's true. I would have come to the topic of rooting and using Magisk for DRM content.
-
-
I just installed the mobile version of the grabber on my phone. This is working. But i can not test the tv version.
What does the hyperion log say when using the app?

Hi MABeatty1978,
i don't know if it works, just stumbled over it:

Lord-Grey Just tested your updated PR but unfortunately the export issue still exists.
