Unfortunately, not enough hardcore development skills.. So I will need to be patient, and will keep an eye on the roadmap of this amazing project..
-
Is there also a way that i can update the ws281x library, or do i have to wait and be patience when the ws281x is updated and pushed to a PR?

Is it possible that my power adapter/unit isnt good enough..
I have a WS2812B led strip of 5 meter with 60 Leds/m. (https://nl.aliexpress.com/item….1000023.2.2ca42344LybprW)
And the power adapter I have is: 5V - 10A (https://nl.aliexpress.com/item…042311.0.0.cf334c4dyliDdI)
So if you do the calculation of : 5M x 60 Leds/m = 300 Leds
One led chip is approx 0,2 Watt, so that will be 300 Leds * 0,2 Watt = 60 Watt
And the Led strip works on 5 Volt..
So that means, 60 Watt / 5 Volt = 12 Ampere
12 Ampere you need for the whole led strip, is this correct? If not what power adapter do I need then for my led strip?

So ive tried running a development build..
But I am facing still the issue, can the power supply maybe be the problem.. or am I doing something else wrong..
Ive pasted the logging in pastebin due the limit of the max characters: https://pastebin.com/t1hetWE8

Lord -Grey, here I am again.
Correct me if I am wrong, but hasnt the PR 1164 already been merged with the master branch? If yes, then whats the problem because i have the most recent version of Hyperion..
And if I am wrong, how can i download the development build artifact of PR1164 ?
Kind regards,
-
Hi Lord-Grey,
What is the reason i am getting that error? Is my raspberry not compatible with Hyperion?
I saw you mentioning those 3 options:
Zitat1. wait for the next release (no ETA)
2. build Hyperion yourself
3. use a development build artifact e.g. from PR1164 https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.ng/pull/1164
2. What do you mean with build hyperion yourself?
3. Do i need to merge the development build from PR1164 with the master branch?
And are there any other options beside those 3?
Kind regards,
Sizo

Hi there,
Today I tried to get my setup working for the first time, but unfortunately it didn't work. Because only the first 12 LEDs are working (see photo), and the rest of the roll does not. When I look in my debug log I see the following: " 2021-05-18T16:47:02.608Z [hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (ERROR) Device disabled, device 'ws281x' signals error: 'Failed to open. Error message: Hardware revision is not supported "
I really dont know whats going on, hopefully somebody can help me.
My setup/config:
Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
Led strips: WS2812B (5m 60 IP65 ---- from aliexpress https://nl.aliexpress.com/item…042311.0.0.4eb14c4dohotjP )
Power supply: 10A - 5V
Hyperion release file: Hyperion-2.0.0-alpha.9-Linux-armv7l.deb
Kind regards,
Sizo

Hallo,
2021-05-18T16:47:02.608Z [hyperiond LEDDEVICE] (ERROR) Device disabled, device 'ws281x' signals error: 'Failed to open. Error message: Hardware revision is not supported'"
Ik heb geen flauw idee wat ik verkeerd doe, hopelijk kan iemand mij helpen.
Mijn Setup/Config:
Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
Led strips: WS2812B (5m 60 IP65 ---- van aliexpress https://nl.aliexpress.com/item…042311.0.0.4eb14c4dohotjP )
Voeding: 10A - 5V

Alvast bedankt,
Groeten,
