Finally, issue is solved. I was using wrong power supply - the reccommended one is 2.5A, but everuthingI tried earlier was not more than 2.1 A.
Also I find some differences in wire connections between hyperion tutorials and some other projects on the internet. Check it out:
    (5v not connected to raspberry)

    (5v connected with raspberry)

with these changes everything works like a charm

    Hi guys!

My problem is really similar to https://hyperion-project.org/threads/rpi3-stuck.78/ post, but I don't see any voltage warning icons on the screen. As adviced in mentioned thread I tried to change power supply and microusb cable for my pi. I'm sure that leds have got enought power from it's own supply.

So when I play 1080p videos the picture blinks and flickers from time to time. It looks like pi perfomance is not enough to capture and analyze the picture properly. I've already tried to enlarge internal frame grabber interval and turn off smoothing in HyperCon config and it helped, but ambilight affect terribly suffers.

    I'm using:
    5V 20A led power supply
ws2801 led stripe (total 113 leds)

    RPi3 + Kodi over RetroPie.

    Any ideas? Please help
