Sorry, English is not my native language, let me explain, I hope you'll uderstand me.
The most important thing is the illumination level.
I wanna have high level during daylight time, low level in the evenings/night time.
Also it's good to have a possibility to correct colors (white, RGB, gamma etc.) as they are affected by ambient light: the Sun, LED illumination, darkness.

Hi!

First, thanks for the Hyperion! It's awesome!

I use my ambilight setup in different ligth conditions:
1. morning/day - daylight (actually it changes during the day/season),
2. evening - artificial LED illumination,
3. night - no illumination.
So, it'll be good to have at least 3 different configs and to switch them manually and/or according to schedule.
